Looking to enhance the steering performance and durability of your 3rd generation Dodge truck? Want to say goodbye to the infamous “death wobble” and enjoy a smoother ride? Look no further than the HD Steering Upgrade from BKFabworks!
Our steering upgrade kit replaces the factory steering linkage with a robust, two-piece design that can tackle any terrain and load. The kit includes:
- A 1.5" OD x .250 wall DOM drag link.
- A 1.5" OD x .250 wall DOM tie rod.
- Two weld-in hex tube adapters.
- Four 7/8" chromoly heim joints with high misalignment spacers.
- Four jam nuts.
- All necessary hardware.
Installation is very straight forward and only requires reaming your steering knuckles and pitman arm. No cutting required.
The HD Steering Upgrade is compatible with all 03-08 Dodge 1500/2500/3500 4x4 trucks, as well as 02-08 Dodge 1500 4x4 trucks with the 3rd gen axle swap.
It also works seamlessly with most aftermarket lift kits and steering stabilizers.
With the HD Steering Upgrade, you’ll experience noticeable improvements in steering response, stability, and reliability. You’ll also reduce the stress and wear on your ball joints, wheel bearings, and steering box. Plus, you’ll enjoy a lifetime warranty on the steering bars.
The kit includes the complete steering upgrade, including the drag link and tie-rod. It comes in raw steel, but we can provide a quote for custom powder coating in your desired color.
(Standard black powder coating is around $175.00 with a lead time of 5-7 business days. Prices for custom colors may vary.)
