The black DPA 4660 CORE is a miniature, moisture-resistant lavalier microphone with heavy-duty construction designed for use with wireless systems for broadcast, performance, and theatrical applications. The electret-condenser capsule delivers crisp, clear, and intelligible speech, while the rugged yet unobtrusive design is well suited to the demands of professional live stage work and presentations.
The 4660 is built with stainless-steel housing, a thicker 2.2mm cable, and reinforced strain relief enabling the mic to withstand tough conditions in a variety of difficult working environments. The capsule uses DPA's CORE technology to deliver a 6 dB increase in dynamic range and a 6 dB reduction in noise over the 4660 Legacy model.
Included are two interchangeable capsule protection grids that alter the sonic character of the mic. The High-Boost Grid creates a peak at 12 kHz, helpful for chest placement, while the Soft-Boost Grid offers a subtle boost between 8 to 20 kHz, lightly enhancing signal presence to ensure clarity.
With an SPL rating of 134 dB, the microphone is more than capable of handling most standard speakers, vocalists, and presenters. The mic can also be used very effectively to capture instruments—making it a flexible tool for houses of worship and live event productions. The 4660 CORE is powered by 5 to 10V plug-in power from a wireless transmitter and features a modular design using a Microdot output connector. This version includes a 3-pin LEMO adapter compatible with Lectrosonics SSM, Sennheiser SK, and Wisycom MTP transmitters.

- The modular design allows you to adapt the 4660's Microdot connector to a wide variety of transmitters simply by purchasing the compatible adapter—saving you the expense of buying another microphone.
Optional XLR Adapter for Wired Applications
The DAD6001 Microdot to 3-pin XLR Adapter (available separately) allows you to power the 4660 from 12 or 48V phantom power for wired applications.
A Heavy-Duty, Broadcast-Quality Lavalier That's Built to Last
Steel Housing, Moisture-Resistant Construction
Made for situations where you require maximum security and where the visual size of the mic is less important, this heavy-duty version of the 4060 microphone features stainless steel housing and a thick 2.2mm cable with a reinforced, heavy-duty cable relief. With its double-vent protection system, the 4660 is certified IP58 for dust and moisture resistance and built to survive the constant twists, bends, and pulls that are part of everyday use in harsh environments.
Miniature Mic with a Crisp, Clear Sound
The 4660 CORE offers the same professional audio quality found in the 4060 model, with the same 5.4mm capsule that enables the microphone to be inconspicuous and easily disguised in clothing or costumes. The vertical diaphragm design offers a clear and natural sound optimized for the human voice.
Two Boost Grids Included to Tailor High Frequencies
The pre-fitted Soft-Boost Grid gives a 3 dB soft boost at 8 to 20 kHz range. It should be used when the microphone is mounted on the performer's head as well as in most other applications where you need a natural-sounding mic. Alternatively, the High-Boost Grid introduces a 10 dB boost around 12 kHz for applications where chest-placement is preferred. Both grids are made of tough and scratch-resistant anodized stainless steel, allowing them to be detached and cleaned.
Normal Headroom for Standard Speech
The 4660 CORE features a sensitive capsule designed for standard speech and vocal applications at levels up to 134 dB SPL before clipping.
Omnidirectional Polar Pattern
The forgiving omnidirectional pickup pattern captures sound from all around the mic and provides a consistent frequency response, even for off-axis sound. This helps to supply clear, intelligible speech and vocals, even when the talent turns away from the microphone.
Additional Options
This version of the DPA 4660 CORE does not include mounts, windscreens, or clips; they are available separately.
- The SCM0020-B 2-Way Clip is an improved clip for the 4660 Series Heavy Duty miniature mic that is extremely easy to mount and intuitive to use. It provides quick and easy chest mounting with two orientation options.
- To hide the mic, the DMM0022 Concealer attaches safely and securely to clothing and costumes and is designed to resist clothing and rustling noise. It features a modular design that allows the top of the concealer to be separated from the base. This lets you to affix the base to clothing and remove the top piece independently.
- Foam windscreens to reduce breath and plosive noises are available in multiple colors choices to match clothing.

Romance and Family Drama

Julia finally returns home after years away because her mom is dying. Going back to Gull’s Harbor, California means facing a lot of memories Julia would rather leave behind, including her high school sweetheart. After their mom’s passing, Julia and her sisters are in for a rude awakening when the will is read. The girls must live together in their family home for the three months or they forfeit their inheritance. Living in her childhood home puts Julia right next door to her high school boyfriend who she’s still in love with. Will Julia be able to win Liam back or are there too many secrets between them?
I have only ever read cozy mysteries by Jenn McKinlay, but was intrigued when I saw this book coming out. I loved the cover and couldn’t wait to dive in. I liked Julia and Liam together and enjoyed the second chance at love for them. The will and storyline that brought on led to some drama and funny moments. This was a romance book and had a lot of good moments between Julia and Liam, but it was also a story about finding yourself after grief and family. I liked the different layers in this book and it kept me interested from start to finish. The ending of this book was great and I loved how everything tied together. The family dynamic between the three sisters was fun to read about and I loved seeing how all of their lives were so different even though they were raised by the same woman. The romance parts were the best in my opinion, but I did enjoy the variety in this book and had a good time reading it.

Nice read about familial relationships, grief, and romance.
Loved this book - quick, cute, easy read. Stories about handling grief can sometimes be overwhelming or triggering but this was well done and speaks to all ranges of mother daughter relationships.

I loved this book!

I really enjoyed this well written book, “I Can’t Even”. It covers family topics of love, loss, heartbreak and diversity. There are some laugh out loud scenes and plots that will keep you guessing right until the end. I loved it!

Second chance romance
Format: Audiobook
I have loved every single book that Jenn McKinlay has written - so I was delighted to get a chance to read this one early.
Julia returns to her childhood home with her two sisters, when her mother Babs gets sick. Julia and her Mom have been almost estranged in recent years, and her mother doesn't seem very glad to have her home. When her mom passes away, the terms of her will reveal some family secrets, and some strings attached to the sisters and how they need to live, before they can inherit moms home and money. Cousin Paisley is hanging in the wings hoping to grab what the sisters should be getting.
While home, Julia tries to rekindle her romance with boy-next-door Liam, the guy she had been dating when she upped and left without a word many years ago.
We follow Julia and her sisters as they rebuild their relationships, and grieve the loss of their mother.
I liked the premise, and really hoped to like the book. Unfortunately this one just wasn't for me. Julia and Liam are just nasty to each other, and most of their issues could be solved with some simple communication. The descriptions of some of the other characters bordered on the mean rather than funny snarky. It seemed that most of the characters were using each other.
I listened to the audiobook and have nothing but praise for the narrator, who handled all the different voices really well and kept me interested in following the plot.
I hope this was just a blip from this author - as I am really looking forward to her next novel!
