Himalayan Golden is a single-origin, USDA Organic black tea from the Sandakphu highlands of Ilam, Nepal, hand-plucked at around 7,500 feet and prized for its prominent golden tips. It brews an amber-gold cup with honeyed malt, dried apricot, and a toasted sugar finish — smoother and less astringent than Darjeeling, with no bitterness and no harsh edge.
Awarded Gold at The Leafies International Tea Competition and named Best Black Tea at the North American Tea Championship, and featured in The New York Times' 2019 profile of Nepal as the next great tea origin. A natural fit for fans of Yunnan Gold or Golden Monkey, and a smoother, organic alternative to Darjeeling.
