Supermarine Seafire F.XV,F.XVII,F.45,F.46,F.47 and SeafangThe Griffon engined Seafires were developed using two wing planforms. The first versions, F. XV and F. XVII, retained the earlier type wing while the F. 40 series utilised that adopted by the RAF's F. 20 series of fighter. Used mainly by the Royal Navy the type was also flown by Burma, Canada and France. The Seafire FR. 47 also saw service in the Korean War.
