Back in 2008, Far Out Recordings had the idea of putting together some of their best musicians from Rio in the studio to make a record that could mix cultures, generations, languages and musical ideas between Brazil, the UK and the Americas, yet be a homage to the music we all love, Brazilian music, soul and disco. They went into the studio with three producers, three engineers and musicians including Jose Robeto Bertrami and Alex Malheiros from Azymuth, Arthur Verocai, Paulinho Black (from the original Banda Black Rio), Jose Carlos and many more outstanding participants. With this amazing team, The Far Out Monster Disco Orchestra was born. Armed with two of the greatest arrangers in contemporary Brazilian music, Jose Roberto Bertrami and Arthur Verocai, it really could not go wrong. Combining a mutual love for soul, funk and disco music, majorly because of Azymuth's musical influence, they all wanted to push it one step further. They decided to have a full string orchestra and horn section on the tracks, all of which were arranged by Arthur Verocai. Later, English lyrics were given to the recordings to add a real Anglo-American feel while keeping the Brazilian harmony running strong through it's veins. In 2012, Jose Roberto Bertrami, one of the main components of the band and indeed Far Out Recordings's friend, brother and mentor, sadly passed away. He has been a massive part of the black music heritage in Brazil having been the arranger of albums such as Jorge Ben's Africa Brazil (1976), the first Candeia record, Raiz (1970), Serginho Meriti and many, many more. Bringing to the table his love for the music of Philadelphia, Far Out Recordings got into the studio with those sounds in mind to prepare the bases of the tracks. Taking in consideration the transatlantic logistics of recording, writing and mixing, this project has demanded a huge production effort, therefore it has taken a long time for this album to be put together and finally see the light of day. Disc two of the CD version includes great remixes by Theo Parrish, Mark Pritchard, the legend of disco John Morales LTJ X-Perience, Mark E, Jose Carretas, Marcellus Pittman.

Perfect for small senior dogs!

So I actually bought this for my senior Bolonka. She has a neurological disorder that does not allow her to have hard bones or treats, plus I am trying to protect her teeth for as long as I can. This is a GREAT toy. I like to fill up the middle with yogurt or peanut butter and things she can lick instead of bite into. This is the PERFECT size for her. She likes to play with it even without a treat on the inside. She just carries it around the house , as its not heavy at all, and throws it around, it is too cute! It is not loud at all, the only noise that comes out is if shes got a ton of saliva and her teeth rub against it. I just pulled it off the packaging, washed it, and it was ready to go. It will last forever with my baby because she doesn't chew hard so I am unsure about the durability for bigger pups or dogs who are heavy chewers. I am so glad I got this for her and I would HIGHLY recommend it!

Good product misleading size.

Really disappointed about the size. It is way too small for my berniedoodle. He still likes it for play but I’m afraid he might swallow it. It’s very sturdy tho and is chew resistant. I guess I didn’t pay attention to the size. Looked big in the picture.

Must have item for dogs!!!

The puppy kong is a must have item for every new puppy owner. Super cute!! They usually will last forever (unless you have a super chewer then you need the black one). Great value!! Keeps the puppy busy and entertained. Especially when frozen. Google and the Kong website have tons of recipes. I tend to stick with a little bit of kibble some mashed banana and peanut butter. Also, good options are jars or pouches of baby food just make sure you check the label to ensure there is nothing toxic to dogs in it. More options are kibble soaked in water or broth, pumpkin puree, green beans and carrots. I could go on forever. If you own a dog, a Kong is a must have! I always have two ready to go. And they are dishwasher safe!
