Cartier Tank Must de Vermeil Black Gloss Dial GM – 1980s

A striking interpretation of Cartier’s enduring Tank design, this Tank Must de Vermeil GM from the 1980s blends the maison’s rich design heritage with modern minimalism. Housed in a gold-plated vermeil case and distinguished by its immaculate, high-gloss black dial, this Grand Modèle stands as a timeless dress watch with elevated vintage appeal. With original Cartier documentation, service history, and a hand-crafted Belgian leather strap, it offers both provenance and presence.

Key Features

  • Case: 23 x 30 mm gold-plated sterling silver (vermeil). The case retains its iconic rectangular profile and elegant lines. A small area of plating wear is present on the side of the top-left lug (crown side)—a localized flaw that is invisible when worn but can be professionally restored if desired.

  • Dial: Flawless original deep black lacquer dial, exceptionally well preserved. Rich gloss, no imperfections, no cracks, no fading—a highly rare state for this reference.

  • Hands: Gold-tone sword hands, clean and sharp, maintaining their vintage character.

  • Movement: Cartier Caliber 78-1 manual wind, running precisely and smoothly following a past Cartier service.

Strap & Buckle

  • Strap: Paired with a handmade Belgian leather strap, supple and crafted to complement the watch’s vintage refinement.

  • Buckle: Traditional tang buckle (non-Cartier), in keeping with the understated elegance of the overall design.

Condition & Provenance

This Tank Must de Vermeil GM is in excellent vintage condition with special emphasis on its untouched and immaculate dial—a key rarity for this model. The case has been gently worn, with one notable plating flaw on the side of the upper left lug. The watch is accompanied by official Cartier papers and Cartier service documentation dated June 2005, confirming the serial number and details of the intervention carried out by an authorized Cartier dealer.

Why It’s Special

  • Perfect Black Gloss Dial: Rare to find in such pristine condition—free of cracks, spotting, or warping.

  • GM Case Size: The larger Grand Modèle format offers a bold yet refined wrist presence.

  • Cartier Provenance: Comes with original Cartier papers and a 2005 service history, making this a transparent and collectible example.

  • Subtle Case Wear: Honest vintage condition with only one small area of plating loss that does not affect the watch’s presentation or structural integrity.

Warranty

  • Includes a 1-year mechanical warranty for peace of mind and assured performance.

Final Thoughts

Elegant, storied, and timelessly stylish, this 1980s Cartier Tank Must de Vermeil GM with flawless black dial is more than just a statement piece—it’s a symbol of refined vintage luxury. Supported by Cartier documentation, impeccable dial condition, and artisanal presentation, it makes for a discerning acquisition for the serious collector or the enthusiast of iconic design.

Loved Lucky & Lexie!!
Format: Kindle
Oh my, what an absolutely amazing book!! It’s such an emotional, poignant, and heartfelt romance and Bella has really out done herself! Geez, once you I started this book I could not put it down. Lucky Beneventi and Lexie Sinclair been friends from childhood. There has always been a connection between them, yet there was also something that kept them as friends … even if they both craved for more. Lexie is returning home from Paris after spending time there studying at Le Cordon Bleu. Returning home she will be the new baker at Sweet Temptations. The past year away from home Lexie has become independent. Learning to live her life on her own terms in spite of her having Cystic Fibrosis. Excited to be back home Lexie is still a bit nervous about sharing the house with former BFF, Lucky. Lucky is now the star QB for the Kings and teammate and best friend with Lexie’s brother Linc. Though Lucky may have always had is eye on Lexie it was the unwritten rule that she was off limits for him because of her brothers. Needless to say, this has led to Lucky becoming a big-time ladies’ man. But what happens when Lexie returns from Paris and they find they are now become roommates? It doesn’t take long for Lucky and Lexie to have an unexpected late-night meeting. It didn’t take long for them to fall into easy conversation… along with a bit of bantering. It felt good to see them both open up and ease back into their old familiar friendship. But was it truly just the friendship in which they were interested? Lexie had always wanted Lucky to see her beyond just being friends. At the same time she had a real issue with having CF that kept her from pursuing more than friendship with Lucky. Little did she know that Lucky had always had visions of her being his endgame!! It was heartbreaking just how vulnerable Lexie was when it came to having a romantic relationship. Even though Lexie would fight Lucky pushing to have more with her, once he got beyond that wall, I loved just how caring and devoted he was to her. The chemistry between Lucky and Lexie was just so freaking electrifying!! And to see how thoughtful and caring Lucky was… ~swoon!!~~ These two were meant to be together. There were many other things I loved too!! The group text messages and camaraderie that were always going back and forth… This is one of the things that Bella does so well in her books. Family/friendships and extended family. Plus, all that love that you feel from them.

A down bad MMC that doesn't give up. LOVED IT!
Format: Kindle
I love a down bad MMC and Lucky Beneventi was it and more!!!! I loved the love he had for Lexi and how willing he was to fight for them and give their relationship a try. But I could also understand why Lexi didn’t want to risk it. She knew that her cystic fibrosis diagnosis gave her no guarantee of how many years she'd live and she didn’t want to hurt Lucky. But seeing Lucky not giving up and showing her how important and worthy their love was, no matter the time left? It was beautiful!!!!! And that ending and bonus epilogue? My heart!!!!!! I loved it so much!! I do wish we could’ve had more time with them dating and being happy because I did feel we spent more time with them fighting their attraction and then Lexi fighting what they felt for each other. Also, there were A LOT of characters so it got a bit confusing trying to understand who was related to whom (so I guess at some point I will eventually go back and read the other series). However, keeping my focus on Lucky and Lexi helped me enjoy the story more. Sweet Temptation is a fantastic beginning to the Love and Legacy series. It was definitely more heart wrenching than I was expecting but I adored the love story, the main characters' connection and how they got their HEA. Tropes: -Good girl x bad boy vibes -Football player -Baker -Childhood friends to frenemies to lovers -FMC has a chronic illness -It’s always been you -Down bad MMC -No third act break up -Brother’s best friend

This book was great!
Format: Kindle
This book was absolutely amazing! I loved the relationship between Lexie and Lucky. I loved how Lucky was soo sweet with Lexie and how he knew he loved her from when they were kids. I felt horrible Lucky thought he caused her to be sick when they were kids and he lived with that guilt his whole life. The writing in this book like all of her books was great. Im addicted to this world and this crazy large family. I cant wait to read the next book in this series! The duet audiobook narration was fantastic! The narrators did a wonderful job bringing this book and their characters to life! Tor Thom and Andi Arndt were incredible! I would highly recommend this book and audiobook.
