Grotta Sonora's Mini Cosmo Plates are flat, rectangular sheets hung vertically, played like a gong. These are smaller versions of the 16" x 32" Cosmo Plates. With lighter weight and smaller size, the fundamental tone is higher with an overall brighter color. The sound is very open, much like a traditional Wind Gong, or like the Grotta Sonora King Gong series, with a complex crash and wash. They're lightweight and easy to carry, great for people just getting into sound work.

Each one is visually striking, with unique patterns from one to the next. They are made from an alloy with a high presence of nickel mixed with stainless steel. This special mixture creates a gong that is both physically durable and sonically complex, perfect for sound therapists or composers looking to experiment with unique sounds.
