10" Overall Handmade Damascus Cleaver Knife with Rosewood Handle, Steel Bolster & Brass Pins | Twisted Damascus PatternThis handmade Damascus cleaver is built for heavy kitchen work. The wide blade gives you the weight and surface area needed to chop through dense vegetables, thick cuts of meat, and hard produce with one clean stroke. The blade is hand forged from high carbon Damascus steel. The twisted pattern on the blade comes from the forge welding process, where layers of hard and flexible steel are folded and shaped by hand. This builds in strong edge retention

This handmade Damascus cleaver is built for heavy kitchen work. The wide blade gives you the weight and surface area needed to chop through dense vegetables, thick cuts of meat, and hard produce with one clean stroke.

The blade is hand-forged from high-carbon Damascus steel. The twisted pattern on the blade comes from the forge-welding process, where layers of hard and flexible steel are folded and shaped by hand. This builds in strong edge retention and impact resistance. Every blade looks slightly different because each one is finished by hand.

The knife is 10 inches overall. This size works well on a standard home cutting board. It is wide enough for power cuts but not too large to control during detailed prep work.

The rosewood handle is dark, dense, and naturally resistant to moisture. It is fitted with a steel bolster and locked in place with three brass pins. A finger groove sits just ahead of the bolster. This gives your index finger a firm rest point when using a pinch grip on a wide blade.

The full tang runs through the full length of the handle. This keeps the knife strong and balanced under repeated heavy chopping.

What This Knife Is Good For

Vegetable Work

The wide, flat blade chops through dense vegetables like squash, cabbage, and turnips easily. You can also use the flat side to crush garlic and transfer chopped ingredients from the board to the pan.

Meat Preparation

This cleaver handles breaking down whole chickens, trimming thick beef and pork cuts, and separating joints where a thin chef knife would struggle.

Daily Kitchen Use

The 10-inch size keeps this knife manageable for everyday prep. It works alongside a chef knife or santoku — not as a replacement, but as a heavier tool for the tasks they are not built for.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a cleaver and a chef's knife?

A chef's knife has a narrow blade made for slicing and rocking cuts. A cleaver has a wide, flat blade made for downward chopping. The blade weight does part of the cutting work on dense ingredients, where a thin blade would require more effort.

Is high-carbon Damascus steel good for a cleaver?

Yes. High-carbon Damascus steel holds a sharp edge and handles impact well. The layered construction adds flexibility that prevents the blade from cracking under repeated heavy chopping.

Does the rosewood handle need maintenance?

Rosewood is naturally oily and resists moisture. Apply food-safe mineral oil occasionally to keep the wood from drying out. Always hand-wash and dry the knife after use. Do not put it in a dishwasher.

What do the brass pins do?

The three brass pins lock the rosewood handle scales to the full tang steel. Brass does not rust or loosen with regular kitchen use. The pins also add a clean visual detail against the dark rosewood.

Is 10 inches the right cleaver size for home use?

Yes. A 10-inch overall length works well on a standard cutting board. It gives you enough blade width and weight for effective chopping without being too large to handle during normal prep work.

Is this a good gift?

Yes. The twisted Damascus blade, dark rosewood, steel bolster, and brass pins make this a visually strong knife. It works well as a gift for chefs, home cooks, and knife collectors.

I’m a little disappointed.
Format: Kindle
I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.

4.25 stars
Format: Kindle
Vale is an 8 month pregnant omega working as a waitress at a strip club and a cam girl. She starts to get very creepy vibes from a regular at the club, and her baby daddy ghosted her. She has had an online relationship with a man named Bishop through her cam girl status. One night, bishop was paying to watch her sleep and ansthe creepy regular Andrew break in and watch her sleep he tells vale to come to him at his business now. She flees and finds herself at a large security company with some.hot of alphas who are there to help her. This imegaverse is a little different than I have read, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Vale is not a traditional omega she was raised by a single beta mom, and the alphas are not normal alphas they have never really loved pack life. But they are ruthless mercenaries. They need her, and she needs them. I love the aspect of the stalker and now the plot twists at the end, so so good. Sometimes, it seemed a little slow and stale mated, but since this a duet, I think It was just her starting to have Vale get to know her alpha suitors. Cliffhanger for sure with this one.

That ending 😫
Format: Kindle
I fell into a false sense of security and really thought this was gearing towards a happy ending. Then I realized there’s no work they don’t punish Andrew. I really liked Vale’s character. I don’t normally read books with pregnancy but going into this knowing she was pregnant made it more enjoyable for me. I loved Bishops devotion to her and her happiness. I also loved that Holt and Mercy couldn’t fight their attraction to her. I love scent matches so very much. I’m so curious to see how this duet will end up. And I need to pay more attention and notice that a book I’m starting is a duet to begin with lol

I just knew there was something about Cooper! I’m wondering if he’s about to be included but damn I’m glad he’s at least not a rapist and creepy guy, he just got called on assignment and had to go! This should be interesting! She’s gonna run and then what’s his face is gonna grab her. I’m worried! Wow that was a great book and cliffhanger! Loving this!

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5
