When searching for Blackmagic Design Spares – ATEM 1 M/E Advanced Panel – Labels, you are looking for the translucent film inserts (often called "scribble strips") that sit inside the clear button caps.

Unlike the digital LCD "scribble strips" found above the buttons, these physical labels provide the primary identification for the Source buttons, Transition buttons, and Function keys.

What’s Included in a Standard Label Set

A full factory replacement set typically includes pre-cut, high-contrast film inserts for:

  • Source Numbers: 1 through 10 (and often 11–20 for shifted banks).

  • Core Functions: CUT, AUTO, FTB (Fade to Black).

  • Delegation: BKGD, KEY 1KEY 4, ON AIR.

  • System Keys: SHIFT, MACRO, MENU, SET, and BACK.

  • Blanks: Extra clear or white diffusers for custom labeling.

Types of Label Components

A "button label" on an Advanced Panel is actually a two-part system:

  1. The Film Insert: The thin, clear/black film with the text.

  2. The White Diffuser: A small white plastic square that sits behind the film. Do not throw these away. Without the diffuser, the RGB LED light from the PCB will be a harsh "hot spot" in the center and the text will be unreadable.

When to Replace Labels

  • Fading/Yellowing: Years of heat from the internal LEDs can cause the film to "cook," turning the white text yellow or making the black background turn brown.

  • Peeling/Curling: If liquid has ever entered the button cap, the film can warp or the ink can bleed.

  • Re-tasking: If you are moving from a 10-camera setup to a setup using mostly Macros, you may want to swap numeric labels for function labels.

  • Lost during Cleaning: If you pull the caps off to clean the panel and the tiny films blow away or get misplaced.

Installation Guide: "The Tweezers Method"

Repair Level: 1 (Very Simple).

  1. Cap Removal: Pull the clear button cap straight up using a cap puller or your fingernails.

  2. Disassembly: Use a fine-point pair of tweezers to lift the clear lens away from the white base (if it’s a two-piece cap) or simply reach inside the cap to pull out the old film.

  3. Layering: Place the White Diffuser into the cap first, followed by the Film Label (text facing the clear plastic).

  4. Alignment: Ensure the text is perfectly level. If it’s slightly rotated, it will look "crooked" once the LEDs light up.

  5. Re-seating: Snap the cap back onto the switch post.

Custom Labels: The "DIY" Alternative

If Blackmagic’s standard set doesn't have the labels you need (e.g., "DRONE," "ZOOM," or "REPLAY"), you can make your own:

  • Material: Use Laser Transparency Film (standard paper is too thick and won't let enough light through).

  • Printing: Use a high-quality laser printer. Inkjet ink often "beads" on transparency film and will smear inside the button.

  • Cutting: Use a 15mm (for Medium) or 12mm (for Small) square craft punch for perfectly clean edges.

Diagnostic: Label vs. LCD

  • Replace Labels if: The text inside the button is hard to read or ugly.

  • Replace the Input LCD if: The digital screen above the button is dark, flickering, or showing the wrong source name from the software.

Are you looking for the standard "1–10" numeric set, or do you need the specific labels for the "CUT" and "AUTO" buttons?

Indestructible but hard to get treats out
We have a power chewer and have had the black Kong products for a long time. I opted to try this new design however, the shape makes it difficult for our dog to reach the treat. We have stopped using it since I had to keep digging the treat out for her. : ) The black Kong shaped like a pear works much better for her. Giving this 3 stars overall because she can't really use it well.

Really great ball
Our yo German Shepard loves this ball. She can get hold of it on all sides. Really a tough toy. Hasn’t chewed it up. Loves to toss it herself.

Brilliant Ball
This is my dog, Sunnie, favorite toy besides a mostly flat basketball. The toy has some weight to it, but it isn’t too heavy for her (she’s a husky mix, maybe 25lbs and is 6-months old). The ball is the perfect size for medium and large dogs, has a lot of bounce, and is easy for Sunnie to pick up with her mouth because the open holes. The quality is good, worth more than it costs. It’s easy to clean. I’d buy many more, but this ball seems like it’ll last a lifetime.
