About Gambiered Silk (Xiangyunsha):
(1) Gambiered Silk: A silk fabric dyed with plant-based dye from Dioscorea cirrhosa. It is the only silk fabric in the world dyed exclusively with pure plant dyes, earning it the title of "soft gold" in the textile industry.

Process: In weaving, gambiered silk is characterized by warp threads woven in a leno structure to create white base fabric with geometric micro-jacquard patterns. The mulberry silk fabric is then soaked in juice from Dioscorea cirrhosa, a plant unique to Guangdong, followed by covering with mineral-rich river mud specific to the Pearl River Delta region, and processed through sun-drying to create this expensive silk product.
