On November 26, 1791, George Washington convened his department secretaries--Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, Henry Knox, and Edmund Randolph--for the first cabinet meeting. Why did he wait two and a half years into his presidency to call his cabinet? Because the US Constitution did not create or provide for such a body. Washington was on his own. Faced with diplomatic crises, domestic insurrections, and constitutional challenges--and finding congressional help lacking--Washington decided he needed a group of advisors he could turn to. He modeled his new cabinet on the councils of war he had led as commander of the Continental Army. In the early days, the cabinet served at the president's pleasure. Washington tinkered with its structure throughout his administration, at times calling regular meetings, at other times preferring written advice and individual discussions. Lindsay M. Chervinsky reveals the far-reaching consequences of Washington's choice. The tensions in the cabinet between Hamilton and Jefferson heightened partisanship and contributed to the development of the first party system. The best extension cord I ever had so far, it's my 1st day using it but my life has changed for the better. I order yesterday they arrived today, very quick delivery. My life is very busy and I need to be organized with 2 cell phone, laptop, smart watch and headphones. I was having to charge one or two at the time with plugs all over the place. Surge Protector

Without any conveniently located outlets nearby, the TROND Surge Protector Power Strip with USB allowed us to charge devices comfortably from the sofa. The 6-foot cord was perfect for our needs, and I appreciated the flat plug design. Purchased in 2017, one of the USB ports eventually failed, but the AC outlets still perform as they did when first purchased.

Nice oak corner shelf but check your measurements first
5 stars for the shelf, 3 stars for myself :-)
This is a well-made oak corner shelf that looks great where I put it. The wood is nice quality and the construction is solid.
Before you order though, do yourself a favor and check two things: 1) Make sure the size is actually big enough for what you need, and 2) Check that your corner is actually a true 90-degree angle. Turns out mine isn't perfectly square and now I'm trying to figure out how to position this thing properly.
Good product overall, just wish I'd measured more carefully before ordering.

It’s Poyfect!
