Spoken Cree, Level III is continuing to build on the knowledge of the Cree language established in Spoken Cree, Level I and II. While increased facility in handling grammatical features and developing ease in speaking remains a major goal, attention is also directed to Cree social issues and literary tradition, both oral and written, including fluency with syllabics. Level III also provides an introduction to the challenges of translation, not only from language to language but from culture to culture.
The Glossary (available separately) now covers lexical material for all three levels, and the companion recordings to this edition are available free online at spokencree.org.
Each of the 15 new lessons includes: Basic conversation and text, Discussion of Grammar, Drills, Conversation Practice, Listening In, Reference List and Review.
