Our „Black Diamonds” – highly effective activated carbon
Our natural, activated carbon is produced from coconut shells, a renewable natural raw material. Activated carbon is a highly porous carbon substance with an enormous surface area. If you were to unfold just 2 grams of activated carbon, it would result in the area of half a football field (2,000+ square metres)! Due to the unique physical chemistry of activated carbon, odour substances are strongly attracted to, and firmly bound to the carbon molecules. This principle is known as „Van-der-Waals interaction”. Due to the enormous surface area of the activated carbon and the „Van-der-Waals interaction”, the activated carbon is able to bind numerous odours simultaneously, to great effect. Activated carbon has been successfully used in households for a long time – for example; in extractor fans, odour filters in refrigerators, water filters and shoe insoles.
When it comes to the removal of odours, there is nothing in the world better than activated carbon.
Our „Green Diamonds” – gentle care thanks to Aloe Vera**
The Aloe Vera we use in Diamond Care is exclusively sourced from „Aloe Barbadensis Miller” leaves. Immediately after harvesting, the ripe Aloe Vera leaves are sent from their plantations to production, so that they maintain their valuable constituents in full. During the production process, the Aloe Vera leaves are washed with water and then peeled by hand. After further processing, the leaf fillets are refined into Aloe Vera Gel in liquid and powder concentrate form. The Biokat's Aloe Vera Green Diamonds represent the Aloe which is used as a liquid, and sprayed onto the litter. This means that all of our litter kernels gain a caring feature from the Aloe Vera. Try it out for yourself - rub some of the kernels between your fingers. Can you feel how soft your skin feels afterwards? It's the feeling of care, which remains for a long time afterwards!
