Reef Advantage Calcium is a gentle (pH 8.3–8.6) specially formulated blend of ionic calcium aimed at restoring and preserving calcium levels similar to those in natural seawater. Calcium and carbonates play a crucial role in coral growth. A deficiency in either can halt coral development and lead to a swift decline in coral vitality.
Additionally, Reef Advantage Calcium contains magnesium and strontium in ratios that reflect typical usage (100:5:0.1, Ca:Mg:Sr). This ensures that these vital elements are maintained along with calcium. Unlike limewater (kalkwasser), Reef Advantage Calcium does not have a harsh pH and will not reduce magnesium levels. When used as directed, it will not affect alkalinity.
