Deidre & the Dark is a cinematic, technicolor world of music conceived by Brooklyn-based songwriter, vocalist & instrumentalist Deidre Muro (founder/former frontwoman of Savoir Adore). Seamlessly blending her love of 60s-era pop, rock, and standards with current electronic production, her fun and soulful tracks dance that magical line between feeling utterly classic and totally fresh. After years as a side project, 2019 sees Deidre & the Dark strut to the foreground with the debut album "Variety Hour" - a record of "nostalgic noir-pop enhanced by modern stereophonics" (Culture Collide), that feels perfectly at home on vinyl. Featuring "One Night," a "bold and brassy declaration of love for the 60s girl groups, 70s Philly soul, and modern R&B that delivers the kinds of hooks and euphoria found only in the very best pop records." (WFMU's Sheila B) Inspired by the signature format of golden era variety television shows, each of the album's ten tracks takes on a uniquely different character. "As I was writing and imagining the flow of the record," Deidre recalls, "I pictured costume, lighting and set changes, choreography, staging... It really guided the whole creative process for me." Keeping in line with previous Deidre & the Dark releases, the tracks on Variety Hour have a vignette-esque quality, each featuring a leading lady inhabiting her own mini-world. Variety Hour comes after a collection of singles as well as the Curious Parcel EP which features "Classic Girl" - a song which has become a staple of the band's live set, as well as a hit with film, TV & fashion collaborators, and it's own vinyl single release by Coachella record store curator Alex Rodriguez. In addition to curating numerous conceptual events in Brooklyn, Deidre is also a partner at Brooklyn music/audio production studio and record label YouTooCanWoo, where she composes for visual and musical projects and regularly collaborates with bands French Horn Rebellion and Violet Sands.

Great insurance!
It worked wonders for me! I sent back my vacuum after a year of using it because a broken spinning wheel and they repaired it. Then, three weeks before the insurance cover expired, a lightning storm occurred in my area and my vacuum didn’t work anymore, they said they couldn’t fix it and they sent me a full refund. Of course I’ll recommend Asurion insurance!

Do not purchase. BBB will help
Don’t waste you money on this if you’re purchasing a vacuum costing you 6-700.00 or more. We have completed the claims process twice so far, called more time than I like to admit. Bought extremely large boxes and packaging and tape. Drove to ups, waited for ups only to not have our unit repaired. This last claim which was 24 hrs after we received the “fixed” item back was in the companies possession for just two hours when we were sent a msg stating they could not repeat the issues and it was on it’s was back AGAIN. So without a working vacuum for weeks it is now headed back with the same issues. The customer service line assure us they would not let it ship out and would instead keep it and a supervisor would check it and found but 10 minutes after my call I received a tracking number. Save yourself the headache and insure through someone else. Vac sounds like a power saw with rocks in it and won’t clean. Company see that as normal. Told many lies and still repair/.refund

Delivered on What They Promised
Bought an iRobot Roomba i4+ about 1 1/2 years ago and saw this as an option for a protection plan. I was skeptical, as I know that plans similar to this one can be filled with contractual Loop holes that do not benefit the buyer.
HOWEVER, this one is legitimate and came through for me when my vacuum was essentially falling apart…as I was reimbursed the full amount that I paid for it.
I just purchased another iRobot, along with the same protection plan……so, from my experience, I highly recommend it.
