Inspired by turtles encountered along the coastline of Sri Lanka, these Turtle cufflinks reflect the calm movement and intricate shell patterns of one of the ocean’s most enduring creatures. The design was created following a visit by Forbes Mavros and Patrick Mavros Jnr to a local turtle hatchery, where close observation of the animals informed the natural form and detail of the piece.

Created by Forbes Mavros and Patrick Mavros Jnr and handcrafted in sterling silver, each cufflink begins as a hand-worked sculpture where the texture and symmetry of the shell are carefully defined. Using the traditional lost wax casting method, the pieces are then cast, hand-finished and polished to preserve the character and depth of the original design.

A considered reflection of the natural world, shaped by craftsmanship, travel and quiet observation.
