This LED strip light kit comes in three colour temperatures: cool white, natural white, and warm white. Cool white and natural white are ideal for task lighting. The only difference between the two colours is that cool white has a bluish tone, and natural white has no yellow or blue hints. Warm white light suits ambient lighting, as its yellowish shade creates a relaxing atmosphere.
LED lighting converts most of the electricity it consumes into light, making it energy-efficient. Powered by this technology, the strip light in this kit only requires 36w power per 5 metres to produce 3600 lumens with a broad 120-degree beam angle.
The kit has an IP20 rating, making it suitable for indoor use only. However, it is placed in various areas, such as living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways, storage rooms, pantries, and wardrobes. Look for fittings with an IP65 rating for outdoor and bathroom use.
This kit's installation is quick and easy because it includes a plug-in power supply in addition to the 5-metre strip light with a 3M self-adhesive backing. Before installation, remember to clean the surface and review the mounting guidelines. The strip light is 8mm thick, so if you choose to enclose it in an LED profile, the inner width of the profile should be enough to accommodate the size of the LED strip. The strip in the kit also features 120 LEDs per metre, providing a more continuous glow and fewer gaps.
