The assay plate has been pre coated with mouse anti Rat IL1R2 monoclonal antibody. When the sample containing IL1R2 is added to the plate, it binds to the antibodies coated on the wells. Then, a horseradish peroxidase conjugated mouse anti Rat IL1R2 Antibody is added to the wells and binds to IL1R2 in the sample. After washing the wells, substrate solutions are added,

This ELISA kit is designed to detect Rat Interleukin-1 Receptor Type 2 (Rat IL-1r2). The assay plate has been pre-coated with mouse anti-Rat IL1R2 monoclonal antibody. When the sample containing IL1R2 is added to the plate, it binds to the antibodies coated on the wells. Then, a horseradish peroxidase conjugated mouse anti-Rat IL1R2 Antibody is added to the wells and binds to IL1R2 in the sample. After washing the wells, substrate solutions are added, and the color intensity is directly proportional to the amount of Rat IL1R2 present. The reaction is stopped by adding an acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Pros: Can be used with one hand. I bought this to have after surgery that left me without use of one arm for a few months. The light blinks when you need to charge it. Only needs a 2-3 min charge for enough juice to open a can. Cons: IT QUIT CUTTING CORRECTLY AFTER 4 MONTHS. I now have to use both hands to hold it in place to get it to latch on to the can. It also requires a few rotations around the top to cut through the seal, resulting in METAL SHARDS! The metal shards are super sharp and almost invisible. I stabbed myself with one enough to draw blood. This is dangerous as the metal could fall into the food when pouring from the can.
