High mileage engines tend to lose efficiency from worn ball bearings, improper tension, and misalignment. It sticks down good but you have to clean your surface so there's a good grip. I think these are going to do well for noise cancellation. The deadening material does well with absorbing vibrations too. But the install roller tools it will come in handy. Trust me trying to do it by hand is not worth it.
