A Cookbook with Survival Guide Tips by Susan Kay Gericke is not your ordinary cookbook. The concept of this book is to use basic food skills to help the young adults of today learn organizational skills, not only to turn their lives around, but also to use as a tool for teaching their own children necessary skills before they enter the world on their own. Hence, the inspiration to write this book was conceived. It draws on the author's personal encounter with just such a young adult facing these very issues. The author not only provides some delicious recipes, but also some very helpful tips on time-saving, organization, food handling safety, and shopping. There is one particularly enlightening section called "Did You Know You Can?" where she details some really creative ways to take some of the frustration out of certain food prep chores. This is a book not only for the novice, but even the experienced cook will find something new.

About the Author

Susan Kay Gericke is a full blood Ojibwa Native Indian, born and raised in Iowa as one of ten children, who learned early how to grow food, keep their homes clean and organized, and with their strong family values, help others help themselves.

She enjoyed learning, and felt privileged to continue her education after high school. She later became a foster parent to eleven special needs children, after raising four children of her own, an experience for which she is grateful.

In addition to handcrafts and singing opera, the author enjoys working to help special needs children receive support dogs.

Chef Roger Hoffman was born in Austin, Minnesota. He served in the Air Force from 1967-1971 and is a Vietnam Veteran. From 1976 through 2010 he was chef and assistant manager for the Hungry Tiger Restaurants in California and Arizona. In 1991, Chef Hoffman began working for the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections where he was in charge of the Culinary Department of Adobe Mountain School. Over his 16 years there, he taught some 8,000+ youth how to cook, which he truly enjoyed.

He has been in food service, a chef, and a teacher for over 38 years and was a tremendous help to Susan while writing this cookbook.

Great for Privacy, Just a Little Flimsy
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
I recently got this room divider to create a bit more privacy in my home office, and it's been really handy. The thick polyester fabric helps block out distractions, and it's great that it's waterproof, so no worries about spills messing it up. The metal feet keep it stable enough, though I've noticed it can feel a bit wobbly if bumped. It's also super easy to fold and store when not in use, which is a huge plus if you have limited space like I do. Overall, it’s a practical addition, though handling it gently might be a good idea.

Perfect for Creating Private Spaces Without the Hassle
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard, Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
I recently picked up this Kecreque 3-panel room divider because we needed a flexible way to break up space in our garage. I wanted a place to hook up a small tv and play my SuperNES — and honestly, it’s been a fantastic purchase! First off, it’s bigger than it looks in pictures — fully opened, it stretches over 8 feet wide and stands about 6 feet tall. The panels are made of a thick, waterproof polyester fabric that feels much sturdier than I expected for the price. Plus, the steel frame is scratch- and rust-resistant, and the curved feet make it really stable. (No wobbling or tipping, even when our cats decide to race past it at full speed.) Assembly was straightforward — my husband did it himself in under 30 minutes with just the included instructions. The panels clip into the frame easily, and you can adjust the angle of each section depending on how much space you want to close off. It’s also surprisingly easy to move and fold up if you need to put it away; I just fold it flat and tuck it into a corner when it’s not in use. I really appreciate how low maintenance it is too — a quick wipe with a damp cloth has kept it clean. It’s been great for creating a semi-private video game nook, but I can also see it being perfect for an office, a church event, or even a kids’ room (the ad says it can “calm down arguments,” and honestly, I can believe it). Final thoughts: This is a sturdy, well-made, and versatile divider that’s easy to set up, reposition, and store. It looks clean and simple in any area or room and has held up well to daily use. Highly recommend if you need a practical and stylish way to create private spaces without committing to permanent walls!

Quality, and not overly complicated
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard, Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
This is so easy to put together, the parts are numbered, and the wordless instructions are clearer than some I've seen. The material/fabric is pleasant to the touch, and of decent quality. I like that the panels can be used independently of each other, or connected together, depending on your space. Also, the cloth velcros onto the frame, so it can be removed easily for cleaning if need be, without unbolting anything. The combined weight in the box is decent, but once built, each panel is fairly light and easy to move around, while feeling sturdy/not going to fall over unless they're being mistreated. It's a bright sunny afternoon, and I took a picture looking towards a window, so you can see it blocks most things unless directly silhouetted by the bright light on the other side.

Great purchase, easy to put together and maneuver and does the job
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
Easy enough to put together, the nylon curtaining is a bit thin so will either replace or just pin something decorative and thicker to it. Easy to maneuver and does what you need it to do. Right now its leaned against a set of french doors in my room which unfortunately reflect headlight from the street into the room. This has been very useful for blocking that, Also have used it for the intended purpose of privacy other places also. you can also pin the kids pictures to it to show them off, Think outside the box with this nice screen.

Divide and Conquer
Color: Black, Size: 3 Panel Standard
Multi paneled room divider. I selected black, but it does come in a couple other color choices. This divider is solidly made, weighted. This dividers provide a measure of privacy for sleeping quarters, dressing, or to conceal a messy room or things you just don't want openly viewed by others. Portable, but again it's solid so it has some weight to it. No skid bottoms and a really reasonable/affordable price. Delivery was only a couple days.
