Te Kano Central Otago Pinot Noir 2019"My first thought when tasting this wine was Wowsers a wine thats sheer drinkability is amazing, but also has complexity and concentration to back it up. Filled with aromas and flavours of red and dark cherry, subtle herbal notes, and oak spices, the palate is elegantly ripe with just the right amount of acidity and tannin adding structure and freshness. Drink now before its all gone!" The Wine Writer, Angie Atkinson "Seductively complex, the wine

"My first thought when tasting this wine was “Wowsers” a wine that’s sheer drinkability is amazing, but also has complexity and concentration to back it up. Filled with aromas and flavours of red and dark cherry, subtle herbal notes, and oak spices, the palate is elegantly ripe with just the right amount of acidity and tannin adding structure and freshness. Drink now before it’s all gone!" The Wine Writer, Angie Atkinson

"Seductively complex, the wine shows dark cherry, smoked game, warm mushroom and cedar characters with a hint of dried herb nuance. The palate delivers excellent weight and concentration, combined with silky flow and refined texture, finishing superbly long and satisfying. At its best: now to 2029" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jul 2022

"Moderately deep crimson with a light bricking, lighter on the rim. The nose is elegantly alluring, with aromas of cherry, dried raspberry, blackberry, desiccated rose, dried herbs and an amalgam of spice. Medium-full bodied, aromas of black cherry, blackberry and dried raspberry entwined with earthy, savoury elements, unfolding mushroom, desiccated rose, dried thyme, liquorice, cinnamon bark and peppercorn. The fruit is concentrated with rich flavour and a lengthy finish. Silky tannin frames the rich fruit, and earthy details linger with black peppercorn and herbs to an elegant, enticing finish. This Central Otago Pinot Noir possesses concentrated fruit enriched by subtly developed flavours and layers, lending an engaging, savoury, long finish" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, Jan 2024

"From a cool, dry and low-yielding vintage. From a blend of two vineyards: Northburn, which gives fresh fruit flavours and fine acidity, and Bannockburn which produces riper black fruit notes. A tantalising mix of floral (red rose, violet), fruit (cherry and plum) and spice (anise) flavours on both the palate and the delicately-scented aroma. A subtle wine with a smooth texture and lingering finish. Approachable now but shows potential" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Mar 2022

"Vibrant, ripe, varietal, fragrant and fruity bouquet with aromas of spiced plums and red cherry, silty schistous soil core and a dried herb savoury complexity. Delicious on the palate with flavours that reflect the bouquet, there’s firm savoury layer enhancing the mouthfeel driven by chalky tannins and acidity. Firm, youthful, textural and vibrant, a wine needing more cellar time to knit together more - with best drinking from 2023 through 2029+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Dec 2021

A complex and elegant Pinot Noir with aromas of red cherry, tobacco and spice. Red and black cherry follow through the palate with spicy oak nuances and a distinctive dried herb bouquet.

A combination of our Central Otago subregions. Northburn shows fine boned acidity, pure fresh fruit flavours and a crystal line minerality derived from Schist based soils, while Bannockburn gives riper black fruit notes, structured tannins and mid palate weight.

The 2020 season started cool and dry, with warmer Summer temperatures leading into a long, warm Autumn. The season delivered lower yields of small berries, with excellent ripeness and flavour concentration.

Vineyard parcels were individually hand harvested and destemmed to open top fermenters. Gentle hand plunging over a period of 14 - 22 days and a small percentage of whole bunches in the ferment aided the extraction of fine, delicate tannins prior to maturation in french oak barrels for 13 months. Around 24% new oak was used.

Reliable product made with care
quality has been consistently excellent every single time. It’s reliable, tastes great, and you can tell it’s made with care. What really stands out is how it makes me feel afterward. Even after working a 12-hour overtime shift, I don’t feel as exhausted. It genuinely helps me keep my energy up. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something dependable and effective. I’ll definitely keep ordering.

Look nice.
These were really nice for canned oysters, way better than what we can get in the stores in our area. Perfect for milk based oyster soup! the ratio is one can of cream of mushroom, one can full of milk, one can of oysters. Add butter, salt, pepper, and bring to a boil.

Does the job
Tastes like boiled oysters, so it has that nailed down. I use it in my shrimp ramen noodles sometimes, sometimes I use it to flavor garnish dishes. Best price I could find, but apparently it is a specialty product.

Unparalleled source of heme iron.
This stuff is medicine if your are anemic or have low serum iron. Elemental iron from veggies or pills must be prepared by your body to carry oxygen in hemoglobin. Not so with iron from animals and oysters are unparalleled in iron content. Even if you don't find them delicious you will find them efficacious.

Do not recommend
Edible, though barely. Definitely the worst tasting oysters I've tried of all the brands. Hopefully I don't get food poisoning as has been reported by other reviewers.
