This one-day, in-person workshop takes place at CBA on Saturday, October 18th, from 12PM to 4PM ET.

  • Saturday, October 18th, 12PM to 4PM ET

Please Note: Registration for this workshop closes on October 4th, at 11:59pm Eastern Time.

About the Workshop:

Stencil printing is one of the most versatile and accessible forms of printmaking. This workshop will focus on a DIY version of pochoir, a French stencil printing technique, using readily available tools and materials that are conducive to a home studio practice.

The workshop will cover how to prepare images and text for multi-color pochoir prints, cut stencils, and print them in editions or as one-of-a-kind pieces. Once stencils are cut, it's playtime using color in various ways to print your designs. Participants are encouraged to create original prints, experiment with different paper surfaces to print on (such as drawings and prints they have previously made or found surfaces like old books), and explore hand-cut typography. Participants will delve into layering colors, adding textures, and developing creative use of matrices.

Discussions will include a historical overview of various stencil printing and setting up a home studio practice for stencil printing.

Required Materials:

  • X-acto knife with replacement blade
  • A bag of cosmetic wedges
  • Paper, pencil, and eraser for creating designs
  • A pad of Dura Lar
  • Paper surfaces you want to use (old drawings and prints, old books, etc.)

All other materials will be provided by the Center for Book Arts at no additional cost.

They are quite good.

I used to take flintstone chewable vitamins ( yes I’m an adult, but I prefer chewable vitamins). I don’t like the way they get so discolored before I can use the whole bottle. Decided to try these. The formula is a bit different, but sufficient for me. I actually found I like them a lot. Yes they ate all orange flavored, but quite nice. A bit softer than the others, and smaller. I think these will be my go to vitamins now.
