Using Your Phosphate Filter Cartridge

Installation & Maintenance Tips

  1. Confirm your system: this cartridge is made for Ace PNP (Swing & Twist) heads used on plumbed-in mains water systems. If you don’t have the head and bracket installed, choose the with bracket option.
  2. Turn off the water: shut off the cold-water supply before changing cartridges.
  3. Remove the old cartridge: the system’s automatic shut-off helps stop water flow when the filter is removed.
  4. Install the new cartridge: align and lock it in place by hand (no spanner needed).
  5. Pre-flush the filter: run water through before use and after long inactivity.
  6. Check for leaks: make sure the cartridge is seated correctly before leaving it running.
  7. Replace on schedule: change at 1900L or 6 months, or earlier if flow drops or scale issues return.

Limitations & Care Notes

  • Plumbed-in only: not suitable for bottled water coolers or non-plumbed gravity systems.
  • Pre-flush the filter prior to use and after long periods of inactivity.
  • Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality.
  • Turn water off to the system if not in use for extended periods.
  • Filter life varies depending on water quality and demand.
  • A 350kPa pressure-limiting valve must be installed to protect the system.
  • Installation must be carried out by a licensed technician and comply with local standards and regulations.

Phosphate Filter Cartridge FAQs

Is this filter for bottled or bottleless water coolers?

This cartridge is for bottleless (plumbed-in) mains water systems only. It is not for bottled water coolers.

What does a phosphate filter do?

A phosphate filter cartridge helps reduce scale build-up that can form inside appliances and on heating elements. It’s commonly used to help protect coffee machines, boiling water units, fridges, and water coolers.

How often should I replace this cartridge?

Replace at 1900L or 6 months (whichever comes first). If scale build-up returns sooner, replace earlier.

Does this also improve taste?

This cartridge includes activated carbon, which can help reduce taste and odour (including chlorine). Results can vary depending on your local water supply.

Is it easy to change?

Yes. The Swing & Twist design is made for hand changes without a spanner, usually with less mess.

Can I pair this with other Ace PNP cartridges?

Yes. Many customers combine cartridges (for example, carbon taste/odour + scale protection) to better match their local water quality.

Do I need a plumber?

For routine cartridge changes, many users swap filters by hand. For a new undersink installation or plumbing work, a licensed technician is required.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger
