"The GV team are stoked to be the winners of the Organic Winery of the Year. We are proud to be carrying the baton for Central Otago; an area where so many wineries are dedicated to producing organic and biodynamic wine. Hats off to all the organic wine producers who continue to care about the way they go about producing a bottle of wine; It's the norm for us now; all our own vineyards are BioGro certified; our last lease vineyard will be fully certified by 2024. It’s a great show because it promotes wines from producers who care about the way they produce wine, their land and their environment. Thank you to the many people who work hard during this rime; and continue to look, listen and observe"

Gently fragrant red and dark fruits mix with anise and spice on the nose. The palate is light, showcasing attractive flecks of red fruit with shimmering sappy minerals. The wine’s grace and natural delicacy are offset by its very long finish. Beguiling and worth taking time over. Beautiful drinking for the next 5 years.

Drawing from Gibbston Valley’s most intriguing vineyards, the Single Vineyard range gives full voice to site. Planted in 2001, the China Terrace Vineyard is located in the Bendigo subregion. Gently sloped and north facing, it has 4 clones of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay planted over some 7 hectares. Being over 320m, it retains a coolness relative to Bendigo’s natural warmth. This, and the complex accumulation of loess, clay and schist in its soil, gives wines of fresh, bright complexity.

A very early budburst and some particularly cold spring nights had the region on edge during October. Warm days and regular rainfall ensured healthy spring canopy establishment; however, unsettled conditions during flowering meant the crop at China Terrace was light. Over summer, meticulous canopy work exposed fruit during a warm wet and wild January. The weather settled from February onwards, warm dry conditions prevailed into harvest. March conditions were beautiful; classic Central Otago, allowing a gradual ease into ripeness.

Because of its long, slow flowering, China Terrace Pinot Noir was harvested ten days later than the lower altitude Bendigo sites. The fruit was in great condition at low sugar levels. We incorporated a range of whole cluster and maceration times, from 14-28 days, depending on the extent of whole cluster, into the ferments. The wine was pressed to barrel for 10 months, with 20% new oak used. The final blend has 33% whole cluster overall.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.
