Built in a left-handed cabinet configuration, it enables optimal placement of bass drivers on the outer edges of stereo systems, improving imaging accuracy and low-end coherence. Featuring twin 8-inch long-throw bass drivers and PMC’s proprietary Advanced Transmission Line (ATL™) bass-loading technology, the 8-2 SUB-L delivers exceptionally deep, articulate bass extension down to 25Hz, with outstanding control and acoustic headroom. Power comes from dual 400W high-efficiency Class-D amplifiers (800W total), producing a maximum output of 121dB SPL @ 1m. Integrated DSP architecture provides advanced system tuning via rear-panel controls or LAN-based SoundAlign™ software, offering precise adjustment of crossover filters, phase, delay, parametric EQ, and user presets. With analog and AES3 digital XLR inputs, the 8-2 SUB-L operates as a standalone subwoofer or as an Extended Bass Delivery (XBD) module when paired with compatible PMC 6-2 or 8-2 loudspeakers in stereo, surround, or immersive audio systems.
