Emidio Pepe ist eine Legende der Abruzzen: Seit den 1960er Jahren werden hier alle Trauben mit den Füßen gestampft, der Wein reift ohne Holzkontakt in Zement und Glas. Kein Barrique, keine Technologie, nur Handarbeit und Geduld.

100 % Montepulciano von alten Reben, Jahrgang 2000. Die decanted-Version wurde von Hand aus älteren Flaschen in neue umgefüllt, um das Depot zu entfernen — ein aufwendiger Prozess, der Pepe-typisch ist. 13,5 % Alkohol. Nach 26 Jahren ein Wein in voller Reife.

Reifes Granatrot mit bernsteinfarbenen Reflexen. In der Nase getrocknete Kirschen, Tabak, Leder, Erde, getrocknete Kräuter und ein Hauch Balsamico. Am Gaumen geschmeidig und komplex, mit aufgelösten Tanninen und einer lebendigen Säure, die den Wein frisch hält. Langes, vielschichtiges Finish. Ein Sammlerwein für besondere Momente — öffnen Sie ihn zu einem Braten oder einem reifen Pecorino.
