Besonderheiten: Dieser 12 Jahre alte Speyside Single Malt wurde im Oktober 2012 destilliert und im März 2025 abgefüllt. Er reifte zwölf Jahre lang in einem First Fill Bourbon Barrel (Fassnummer 921177), was ihm eine besondere Tiefe und Komplexität verleiht. Die Abfüllung erfolgte in Fassstärke mit 52,5% Vol., nicht kühlfiltriert und ohne Farbstoff. Mit einer limitierten Auflage von 216 Flaschen ist dieser Whisky ein begehrtes Sammlerstück.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: Süße Zitrusnoten, begleitet von einer leichten Kokosnote und einer Prise Thymian. Dazu kommt eine süße, leicht verkohlte Eichennote, die dem Aroma Tiefe verleiht.
  • Gaumen: Vollmundig mit saftigen Fruchtnoten, Zitruszesten und cremiger Vanille. Harmonisch ergänzt durch dezente Holzgewürze.
  • Abgang: Lang anhaltend, süß und fruchtig mit deutlicher Vanillenote.

Destillerie/Abfüller: Die Tormore Distillery wurde 1960 gegründet und ist bekannt für ihre markante Architektur, die seit 1986 unter Denkmalschutz steht. Sie liegt im Herzen der Speyside und produziert einen fruchtig-eleganten Single Malt Whisky. Nach der Übernahme durch Elixir Distillers im Jahr 2022 rückt die Brennerei verstärkt in den Fokus von Sammlern und Liebhabern.
