* Horst Janssen (* 14. November 1929 in Wandsbek bei Hamburg; † 31. August 1995 in Hamburg) war ein deutscher Zeichner, Grafiker, Autor, Plakatkünstler, Illustrator und Fotograf. Mit seinen Zeichnungen, Aquarellen, Gouachen, Radierungen, Holzschnitten und Lithographien gilt Janssen als einer der herausragendsten und produktivsten Zeichner und Grafiker des 20. Jahrhunderts.1968 wurde er mit dem Graphikpreis der Biennale in Venedig ausgezeichnet. 2000 wurde das ihm und seinem Werk gewidmete Horst-Janssen-Museum in Oldenburg eröffnet.
