* Mario Barbaglia wurde 1950 in Mailand, Italien geboren. Er studierte Architektur am Politecnico di Milano (Mailänder Polytechnikum). 1975 eröffnete Mario Barbaglia ein Büro bei Marco Colombo. Anfangs konzentrierten sie sich auf Innenarchitekturprojekte für Gewerbegebiete. Später, 1984, begannen Mario Barbaglia und Marco Colombo mit dem PAF Studio aus Mailand zu arbeiten, das später Italiana Luce hieß. Die Dove Schreibtischlampe war eines ihrer ersten Designs für PAF Studio.
