Besonderheiten: Dieser 18-jährige Single Malt aus der renommierten Reihe "The Single Malts of Scotland" wurde in einem Pedro Ximénez Sherry Hogshead-Fass gereift und besticht durch seine limitierte Abfüllung von nur 254 Flaschen. Die Kombination aus traditioneller Herstellung und der Reifung in einem Sherryfass verleiht diesem Whisky eine besondere Tiefe und Komplexität.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: Reiche Aromen von getrockneten Früchten, insbesondere Rosinen und Feigen, gepaart mit würzigen Noten von Zimt und Nelken. Ein Hauch von dunkler Schokolade rundet das Bouquet ab.
  • Gaumen: Vollmundig und samtig mit einer ausgewogenen Süße. Die Fruchtnoten setzen sich fort und werden von einer leichten Eichennote begleitet. Ein subtiler Hauch von Honig und Vanille fügt zusätzliche Tiefe hinzu.
  • Abgang: Lang und wärmend mit anhaltenden Aromen von getrockneten Früchten und einer dezenten Würze. Ein angenehmes, leicht trockenes Finish rundet das Geschmackserlebnis ab.

Destillerie/Abfüller: Die Blair Athol Distillery, gegründet 1798 von John Stewart und Robert Robertson, liegt in Pitlochry, Perthshire, Schottland. Sie ist bekannt für ihre kräftigen und fruchtigen Single Malts, die oft als Herzstück des Bell's Blended Scotch Whiskys dienen. Die Brennerei verwendet Wasser aus dem nahegelegenen Allt Dour Burn und produziert jährlich etwa 2,5 Millionen Liter Spirituosen.

Glowy but not sure about the spf
Color: Glistening Bronze
My first impression was that this works more like a basic body shimmer than anything else. The Glistening Bronze shade gives a noticeable glow, especially on arms and shoulders. It spreads easily and adds a warm shimmer in the light, but the overall effect feels pretty simple and more cosmetic than skincare focused. In use, the oil blends in smoothly and feels lightweight on the skin. It does leave a bit of moisture behind, similar to a light body oil, and the shimmer shows up well outdoors. The bronze tone is fairly deep, so it seems better suited for medium to darker skin tones or anyone who wants a stronger bronzed glow. The product mentions SPF 45, but there is very little information about the sun protection side of it, so I personally treat this more like a shimmer oil than a sunscreen. Overall, this is fine if you are mainly looking for a body shimmer that adds glow and a bronzed look.
