Based on a selection of hundred invitations primarily from the Archiv der Avantgarden in Dresden, the book Invitations: Archive as Event introduces exemplary positions of the twentieth century avant-gardes from historical and contemporary perspectives. The invitations serve as the starting point for investigations in practices and visions of the avant-gardes, providing information about networks, participants and institutions. Artistic events such as exhibition openings and performances are put in focus: Following principles of rhizomatic mapping, the publication comprises a wide spectrum of event descriptions, case studies, interviews, visual references and theoretical interventions each representing important links for aesthetic, socio-political and ecological questions relevant today. In doing so, scholars, students, artists and curators test a lively and performative archival model.

Best Construction Kids book
Format: Hardcover
My nephew can look at this book for hours. It is such a cool book even for adults. It is a more delicate child’s book as their are lots of demonstrations and paper pieces that move. The house across the street is being torn down and rebuilt and he will sit and point to the book and say this is what they are doing today. I think this book is one of my nephews most prized possessions. It’s a great book that can grown with them for a few years. He is only 3 but this could easily engage a 5 or 6 year old. There is lots of details and the book is really well designed.

Fun, but fragile
Format: Hardcover
This is a cool book, and my 2.5 year old son LOVES it. However it is important to note that it will be destroyed very quickly. There are lots of flaps and moving parts and it is very easy to accidentally rip them off if you try to move one in a way it's not meant for. I ripped more than 1 myself.

Great for training
Format: Hardcover
I order these for new salespeople and managers who have no construction experience. They think it's a joke until they start going through it.

The Darkness Creates Monsters
Format: Paperback
I really like this dark fantasy comic series. A long time ago, the world turned into darkness. The sun did not shine any more, and anybody who was in the dark for too long turned into a monster. Humans still survive. They drive around and live. The monsters are afraid of light. The artwork is really really good. Monsters and humans are drawn with excellent detail. You can actually see what's going on. The fight scenes are easy to understand. Can't wait to read Volume 2.
