Das Gestell wird von erfahrenen Korbmachern aus Rattan handgefertigt. Rattan ist eines der nachhaltigsten Materialien für die Möbelherstellung. Sika-Design verwendet sorgfältig ausgewähltes Rattan, um höchste Qualität zu gewährleisten. Rattan wird oft mit Bambus verglichen, aber im Gegensatz zu Bambus, der hohl ist, ist Rattan ein festes Material.
